45: God’s Remedy for Anxiety, Shame, Regret, and Everything Else

Many of us know what the Bible says about shame and condemnation. Many of us know that Christ’s sacrifice on the cross provided us FREEDOM from sin, death, and condemnation. But do these truths truly change how we think and how we live? How would our lives look different if we meditated on these truths and let them transform our lives?

 

After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said (to fulfill the Scripture), “I thirst.” A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to his mouth. When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. John 29:28-30

 

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1

 

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1
